At 7N, the heart of our business lies in our dedicated consultants. Each day, they apply their expertise and go above and beyond to assist our clients in achieving the best possible solutions. It is for this reason that we aim to shine a spotlight on the remarkable efforts of some of our consultants, who are fueled by their knowledge, commitment, and wealth of experience. Let's unleash their performance.

Toke Boisen Jørgensen is one of our excellent, high-performing IT consultants. As the Solution Architect in a recent project, Toke focused on integrating four technical systems with existing systems.

The project included the architecture and development of several integration services for third-party solutions. The architecture was based on message architecture and microservices, while the overall solution ran on Azure infrastructure and services, including Azure Integration Services. The client's architecture covered both cloud and on-premise integrations. Technically, the solutions were built in .NET 6, services were deployed as Docker containers in AppServices, the data lake was built as Delta Lake using Databricks and Azure Data Lake Gen2, and infrastructure as code was built in Terraform.

Both infrastructure and applications ran in a full DevOps setup. Hence, part of the project was to implement a test strategy with a strong focus on API spec tests and contract testing built with Postman, Portman, and Pact. Moreover, security had a naturally high priority in the project, as it involved working on systems that integrated with critical infrastructure. This applied to security at the transport layer, application layer, and identity security (authentication and authorization).

Toke contributed to defining the overall architecture and was involved in advising the client about ensuring a general architecture that supported the business processes set out in the tender requirements. In addition, Toke still has the architectural responsibility for the integration platform and three subsystems developed in the program. A significant part of the project's success is based on clear integration and testing strategies, and here, Toke assists in operating and monitoring the client's integrations, which are supported with extensive logs and metrics using Application Insights. This is done in close collaboration with the client's IT department, which has the final responsibility for the execution of the operational tasks.

The client expresses their content with Toke's performance in the following statement: “Toke is very focus-oriented. He keeps focusing on benefit realization concerning value and strategy. Toke offers this himself and makes it visible to the entire project team and management. He excels in being present in his tasks. Also, his role as lead for the entire development team of 5-6 developers which proves that Tokes has leadership competencies. Overall, Toke is professionally competent, which has greatly benefited us.”

We are lucky and proud to work with such a dedicated and professional person as Toke. We hope to continue our work together for many years in the future!
